Abstract

La pénurie actuelle de main-d'oeuvre qualifié - qui évidemment n'empêche pas le chômage d'augmenter - conduit les entreprises à déployer d'énormes moyens pour essayer de séduire les jeunes diplômés. Mais nombre d'entre eux risquent d'être embauchés sur la base de promesses que leur employeur aura grand peine à tenir, ceci pouvant entraîner des déceptions importantes, voire un sentiment de frustration, de la part de ceux qui auront le sentiment d'être surdiplômés au regard des emplois occupés. Tel est en substance le message de F. Dany et Y. F. Livian qui, ayant montré à quelle concurrence se livrent les entreprises pour attirer en leur sein les ingénieurs et cadres dont elles ont besoin, risquent à termes d'affronter d'épineux problèmes de gestion de carrière et d'organisation. Pour éviter les inconvénients d'une politique de recrutement, les auteurs prônent l'adoption d'une gestion prévisionnelle à long terme des carrières qui tienne compte aussi bien des légitimes aspirations du personnel que de l'inévitable transformation des structures d'organisation.
