Abstract

A partir d'une analyse des portefeuilles d'alliances horizontales d'une vingtaine de coopératives du Grand Ouest français, cette communication a pour objectif d'analyser le rôle de ces pratiques dans le développement des coopératives et d'envisager les conséquences et les enjeux de cette "croissance contractuelle" sur l'évolution de la configuration des structures coopératives. Après avoir identifié cinq types de portefeuilles et constaté le rôle structurant des alliances dans le développement des coopératives, les auteurs proposent d'identifier quatre modèles de configurations émergentes qui permettent d'introduire une vision dynamique et stratégique des formes d'expansion des groupes coopératifs, là où les analyses classiques ne retiennent principalement que les aspects juridiques et financiers.
