Abstract

The ideas, initiatives and experiments that spontaneously arise in any organization are a precious source of innovation and renewal. In this book, the authors try to explain how managers can "bet on the unpredictable". Two cases studies allow the reader to get familiar with the notion of emergence which is then presented from the perspective of complexity sciences. In the second part of the book, the authors present three ways managers can "bet on the unpredictable" and review their practical implications.
