Abstract

La pollution des élevages intensifs n'est pas due seulement aux unités hors-sol spécialisées dans les porcs. Les exploitations d'une certaine taille combinant porcs et bovins sont à l'origine d'une grande partie des effluents azotés. Dans ces conditions on peut envisager le recours à des incitations économiques favorisant d'une part une plus grande substitution de l'azote organique animal à l'azote minéral acheté (taxation des engrais) et d'autre part une meilleure maîtrise de l'alimentation animale afin de réduire la teneur en azote des effluents (subventions). A partir d'un échantillon d'exploitations animales intensives ces deux mesures font l'objet d'une simulation. Ces résultats préliminaires montrent l'efficacité sociale de ces politiques.
