Abstract

In relation with the question aiming to understand the functioning of local development, the economic effects induced by sports activities have been largely studied. The role of public funding is especially in debate. Outdoor activities give new opportunities of development for elected representatives and economical actors. The efficiency of public interventions in favour of outdoor activities, often costly for taxpayers, is generally analysed through the obtained economics benefits or through the opinions expressed by the final consumers of the granted activity. Beyond these elements, the paper analyses a key point, rarely taken into account: the perceptions of the professionals.
