Fixed-reimbursement insurance : basic properties and comparative statics

Abstract

Certains contrats d'assurance prévoient un remboursement unitaire suite à la survenance d'un sinistre. L'indemnité est alors indépendante du préjudice financier subi. Les auteurs explorent les propriétés théoriques de cette forme particulière d'assurance et la comparent avec des contrats classiques d'assurance, tels que la coassurance ou la franchise. Ils examinent aussi les liens entre leurs résultats et ceux de la littérature relative à l'épargne de précaution.
