Abstract

De nombreux programmes d'éco-étiquetage officiels et privés se sont récemment développés en complément aux deux catégories d'instruments plus traditionnels des politiques d'environnement, que sont les approches "command and control" et les instruments économiques. Ces programmes d'éco-étiquetage appartiennent à une troisième génération d'instruments fondés sur le volontariat des agents régulés et consistant à fournir une information adéquate à certaines catégories d'agents, en l'occurrence aux consommateurs, afin que ceux-ci puissent exprimer leurs préférences environnementales à travers leur choix de consommation.
