Abstract

Les termes gestion et environnement sont souvent associés dans les discours de nombreux acteurs. Au-delà des jeux du discours, l'article vise à éclairer les significations de cette association et les implications aux trois niveaux d'analyse que sont l'État, les entreprises et les consommateurs. Il analyse notamment les questions relatives à l'objet de la gestion et aux modalités de cette dernière, à l'identité du gestionnaire, aux bénéficiaires de l'objet géré et aux motivations du gestionnaire. Cette analyse, étayée par des exemples issus de l'agro-alimentaire, fournit des éléments de réflexion concernant l'efficacité environnementale, l'efficience économique et la complémentarité des différents modes de gestion de l'environnement.
