Distributional effects of the CAP reform : the case of the French regions

Abstract

Parmi les questions posées par la réforme de la PAC de mai 1992 figure celle de ses effets redistributifs sur le revenu agricole. Dans cette communication, ce problème est analysé au niveau du revenu agricole agrégé des régions françaises. Pour chacune d'entre elles, on simule l'évolution des comptes agricoles d'ici à 1996, et en particulier les effets volume et prix, compte tenu des dispositions prises en matière de gestion de l'offre et de compensations. En comparant les valeurs ajoutées régionales, les régions de grandes cultures disposeraient, d'un avantage relatif par rapport à celles qui se consacrent à d'autres productions végétales. Globalement, la distribution interrégionale des revenus agricoles serait peu modifiée.
