Abstract

Cet article a pour principal objectif de mettre en évidence l'intérêt de la modélisation en équilibre général calculable (EGC) pour l'étude de problèmes agricoles. Les principes de la modélisation en EGC sont d'abord rappelés. Les modèles d'EGC diffèrent des modèles d'équilibre partiel multi-marchés essentiellement par leur caractère exhaustif et par la solidité des fondements micro-économiques sur lesquels ils reposent. L'importance de ces caractéristiques est ensuite illustrée à partir d'un modèle d'EGC centré sur l'agriculture américaine.
