L'offre de travail des femmes des exploitants agricoles : application sur données françaises

Abstract

Les femmes des exploitants agricoles effectuent, en matière d'allocation de leur temps de travail, un arbitrage entre travailler sur l'exploitation et/ou travailler hors de l'exploitation. Une spécificité dans leur comportement d'offre de travail apparaît dans le fait que la rémunération marginale de l'activité agricole est une variable non observée définie par les activités de production du ménage agricole. Le modèle du ménage agricole producteur et consommateur permet de définir les critères de participation de la femme à une activité professionnelle. L'étude empirique basée sur un échantillon de ménages agricoles français montre que les variables exogènes (formation, caractéristiques de l'exploitation,...) ont, en général, des effets opposés sur les probabilités de travailler sur l'exploitation et hors de l'exploitation.
