Abstract

La religion dont il sera question ici est ce que j'ai appelé la "religion ordinaire", c'est-à-dire tout simplement la religion des gens ordinaires, quel que soit leur milieu social d'appartenance. J'ai défini cette notion pour contourner certaines ambiguïtés de la notion de "religion populaire" : en particulier, les pratiques habituellement désignées sous cette expression ne donnent qu'une vision réductrice du sentiment religieux de leurs auteurs et ces pratiques sont loin de se limiter aux classes populaires. Entre la "religion populaire" ry la "religion savante", il reste de la place pour beaucoup de choses.
