Abstract

Le présent article propose une revue de la littérature des principales méthodes macroéconomiques employées par les économistes pour évaluer l'économie criminelle. Il s'agit de mesurer à partir d'enquêtes de terrain, des contrôles fiscaux, des anomalies statistiques des comptes nationaux l'ampleur des activités illégales. Les économistes peuvent aussi s'appuyer sur quatre modèles permettant d'appréhender indirectement ce phénomène : l'approche par les transactions monétaires, l'approche par la demande de monnaie, l'approche par la consommation d'électricité et l'approche multi-indicateurs.
