Le développement de la Bretagne ménage-t-il ses ressources naturelles ?

Abstract

La Bretagne a connu un développement économique significatif dans la période récente. Le complexe agro-alimentaire s'est avéré le fer de lance de la croissance bretonne et a encore aujourd'hui une importance primordiale (12 à 13% dans la valeur ajoutée régionale). La structure des IAA, selon l'enquête annuelle d'entreprise de 1995, est caractérisée par la prépondérance des industries de la viande et du lait (71% du chiffre d'affaires total). Le dynamisme des IAA en Bretagne repose donc sur l'aptitude de l'agriculture à fournir une matière première d'origine animale abondante et à prix concurrentiel. L'étude du processus ayant permis ce développement économique et ses conséquences sont développés. Mais un tel processus est-il durable ? C'est l'objet de la seconde partie de cette communication, évocation d'une alternative se référant à l'exemple des Pays-Bas.
