Abstract

Depuis les années 80, la gestion financière a pris une place accrue dans les firmes, en particulier en ce qui concerne la fonction de trésorerie. Cependant, la finalité des firmes est bien restée industrielle et n'est pas devenue financière. Après les années 70 axées sur la trésorerie zéro, le trésorier est chargé essentiellement de la gestion des risques financiers, notamment des risques de taux et de change. Il n'a pas en général vocation à s'ériger en centre de profit ; il est plutôt un centre de responsabilité, vital pour l'entreprise.
