Abstract

L Internet tel qu il est aujourd hui, va-t-il disparaître ? Le Net occupe une place croissante dans nos activités quotidiennes. L Internet exalte des valeurs de partage, de collaboration et de contribution volontaire, mais offre aussi des opportunités de commercialisation inattendues, des outils puissants de contrôle et de surveillance publique et privée. La façon dont se résolvent les tensions ainsi engendrées déterminera le futur de l Internet, entre rationalité individuelle, calcul économique exacerbé d un côté, et des choix collectifs assumés d un autre côté. Ce livre s adresse aux professionnels du numérique ainsi qu à tous ceux qui souhaitent comprendre ce qu il y a derrière ces écrans avec lesquels nous passons plus de deux heures par jour. Il ne requiert pas de connaissance spécifique en théorie économique, mais plutôt une appétence largement diffusée de nos jours, pour les questions économiques, sociales et politiques.
