Abstract

The energy performance contracting (EPC) are used to frame the refurbishing of public buildings. This article provides an overview of the EPC in France, and analyzes their efficiency conditions. Contrary to what the theory suggests, although these contracts are particularly complex, they seem to be efficient and the simplest contracts do not seem more efficient than the complex ones.
