Abstract

Parmi toutes les nouvelles technologies de l'information et de la communication (NTIC) qui sont apparues ces vingt dernières années dans le monde du travail, les outils portables d'information et de communication (OPIC) rendent au travailleur sa mobilité. Ces outils comprennent entre autres, le Global Position System (GPS) embarqué, le terminal radio, le téléphone cellulaire, l'ordinateur portable, l'agenda électronique (PDA). Ils utilisent la technologie sans fil et font sortir le travail des murs de l'entreprise. Le travailleur salarié est alors amené à devenir un télétravailleur. Corrélativement, les OPIC modifient l'organisation spatiale des activités productives. Ils rapprochent ce qui est loin de l'entreprise et l'entreprise redevient à portée de clavier des entités délocalisées.
