L'internationalisation et la délocalisation de la RD des grands groupes japonais

Abstract

Au cours des années 80, un mouvement stratégique d'une ampleur nouvelle s'est enclenché dans l'industrie japonaise en cours d' internationalisation de son système productif. La progression temporelle de la délocalisation se réalise en quatre phases principales. Après les flux d'exportations de biens, suivis par la délocalisation partielle des opérations de montage-assemblage avec une intégration progressive de la production dans le tissu industriel local, on assiste peu à peu à l'internationalisationde la recherche-développement des firmes japonaises et à la mise en place à l'extérieur du Japon d'un réseau de laboratoires de recherches, centres techniques de développement de produits, d'alliances stratégiques ou même de prises de participation pour des recherches conjointes menées avec des firmes étrangères.
