Abstract

SMEs play a crucial role in innovation development and job creation. Consequently, their financing constitutes a major stake. It is from this standpoint that this article aims to study the financing structure of SMEs in ICT industry. The analysis is based on a sample of 539 SME-years studied from 2003 to 2006. The findings show that these SMEs succeed to finance their turnover growth and investment opportunities by debts, and especially those whose maturity is longterm. Nevertheless, they appear to face difficulties of financing by these same resources their assets.
