Abstract

Paris, 9H00, il fait frais. Il a fallu se lever un peu plus tôt que d'habitude, ce samedi. Deux enseignants-chercheurs (l'un est sociologue d'origine, l'autre physicien, aucun n'est parisien) se sont donnés rendez-vous au métro Port Royal. Ils se saluent et optent pour un bistrot que celui des deux, arrivé en avance, avait repéré en attendant. Apparemment, ils sont les premiers clients. Café pour l'un, chocolat pour l'autre, et tranches de baguette beurrées pour les deux. Ils sont là afin de confronter leurs expériences et convictions concernant la mise en œuvre de la transdisciplinarité dans leurs enseignements. Ayant eu l'occasion, à plusieurs reprises, d'échanger, ils savent qu'ils ne sont pas forcément d'accord sur les multiples débats que l'idée de transdisciplinarité suscite. Ils vont devoir prendre une décision : peuvent-ils, veulent-ils, écrire un texte commun ? Avant même que les deux protagonistes entament le dialogue, un observateur extérieur pourrait faire remarquer que la rencontre, en elle-même, est déjà transdisciplinaire. Près de trois heures plus tard, ils décident de tenter le coup. Ils choisissent une formule modeste : chacun racontera, à sa manière, sa tentative pour pratiquer la transdisciplinarité dans l'un de ses enseignements. Que produira cette démarche ? Ils ne peuvent pas le prévoir, ils se disent qu'ils aviseront.
