Abstract

L'effort de clarification auquel ce chapitre vise porte sur deux points : d'abord, le lien entre mondialisation et diversité culturelle ; ensuite, les problématiques sous-jacentes à la notion, et ses définitions. Il interroge ensuite la question de la défense de la diversité culturelle et des formes qu'elle peut prendre. Qu'est-ce que la culture ? qu'est-ce que la diversité culturelle ? qu'est-ce que défendre la diversité culturelle ? C'est autour de ces trois questions fondamentales que s'articule ce chapitre, l'immodestie de leur formulation étant peut-être l'hybris nécessaire pour passer d'une approche incantatoire et#61485; promotion de la culture !, échanges culturels !, etc. et#61485; à la logique proactive que serait celle d'une politique culturelle.
