Abstract

Seul le concept d'institution sans but lucratif (ISBL) permet le comparaison internationale. Les ISBL européennes se distinguent de leurs homologues aux Etats-Unis par un rapport à l'Etat fondamentalement différent et par une protection sociale plus développée. Cependant le modèle européen se décline en cinq variantes, anglo-saxonne ou libérale, continentale ou corporatiste, nordique ou socio-démocrate, méditerranéenne ou émergente, orientale ou post-communiste. Ces cinq variantes marquent cependant une tendance à la convergence
