Abstract

Cet ouvrage a pour objectif de faire un état des lieux des sciences économiques en en présentant les oeuvres constitutives (75 oeuvres ont été sélectionnées). Une place plus importante a volontairement été attribuée aux oeuvres d'économistes modernes et contemporains. Priorité a été donnée aux oeuvres théoriques et analytiques au détriment d'ouvrages d'économie appliquée. Une oeuvre majeure et significative de chaque auteur a été retenue afin de centrer l'analyse. Les contributeurs et directeurs, éminents spécialistes de l'économie contemporaine, permettent une actualisation fine de l'état des connaissances.La pensée économique est d'abord une oeuvre collective, celle qui se nourrit des travaux -articles, ouvrages, revues- qui ouvrent ou entretiennent d'intenses débats au sein du monde de la recherche économique. Mais de ces contributions, puisant à toutes les écoles de pensées, seul un petit nombre est réellement novateur. Original, ce dictionnaire l'est certainement puisqu'il choisit de rendre compte de 75 de ces publications ou oeuvres, classiques ou contemporaines. Avec une place plus importante faite aux oeuvres théoriques et analytiques, chaque oeuvre fait l'objet d'une présentation qui relève l'avancée sur la pensée économique d'alors, l'apport spécifique de l'oeuvre et son influence actuelle.
