Abstract

Ce manuel se propose de remettre à niveau et de donner les fondements mathématiques à tous ceux qui entreprennent des études en Licence de sciences économiques, gestion, mathématiques appliquées ou en Ecole de commerce ou, plus généralement, en sciences sociales. Sa construction progressive privilégie l'exposé littéraire plutôt que le formalisme pur et dur des concepts, techniques et résultats mathématiques, pour en faciliter l'apprentissage. De la sorte, il convient aussi comme support d'auto-apprentissage. Chaque théorie mathématique est expliquée avant d'être présentée de manière formelle, pour être ensuite démontrée, puis illustrée. Les illustrations consistent en des exemples formels ou numériques, et chaque fois que cela est possible, une application économique (principalement microéconomique ou macroéconomique) est proposée. Toutes ces illustrations sont appuyées par de nombreux graphiques. Ce manuel couvre l'entièreté du programme de mathématiques de première licence en sciences économiques et comporte un volume important d'exercices en fin de chaque chapitre.
