Medición de la prevalencia de la violencia física y psicológica hacia niñas, niños y adolescentes, y sus factores asociados en el Perú: evidencia de Niños del Milenio

Abstract

La prevalencia de la violencia —especialmente aquella dirigida contra niñas, niños y adolescentes (NNA)— es uno de los grandes retos pendientes de resolver en el Perú. Este texto utiliza información del estudio longitudinal Niños del Milenio con dos objetivos: primero, documentar la prevalencia de experiencias de violencia física y psicológica que hayan sufrido los NNA; y segundo, analizar los factores de ciclo de vida asociados a la ocurrencia de estos eventos. El estudio se basa en información recolectada entre el 2002 y el 2016. La información disponible permite documentar experiencias de violencia interpersonal, en el entorno familiar y de pareja, así como en el entorno comunitario, para dos grupos: la cohorte menor, a la que se le realizó seguimiento desde el primer año hasta los 15; y la cohorte mayor, seguida desde los 8 hasta los 22 años.
