Ser joven en el Perú: educación y trabajo

Abstract

A pesar del crecimiento sostenido que ha experimentado el Perú durante la última década, aún existen indicadores de desarrollo que requieren mejoras importantes. Entre los más urgentes, los del mercado laboral. Ahí donde se genera cerca del 80% del ingreso de los hogares, 7 de cada 10 peruanos trabajan en empleos informales sin protección social alguna. Esta situación es incluso más complicada para los jóvenes —personas de 15 a 24 años— que recién buscan insertarse en el mercado laboral.
