Les pays qui ont un taux d'inflation trop eleve peuvent utiliser l'une ou l'autre des deux politiques monetaire: reduire la croissance de la masse monetaire (desinflation par la politique monetaire), ou arreter la depreciation de leur parite (desinflation par le change.
