Abstract

Las presiones económicas y presupuestarias derivadas del envejecimiento de la población suponen uno de los mayores retos a los que se enfrentan los países europeos. En efecto, los desequilibrios causados por la inversión de la pirámide poblacional han pasado de ser una amenaza futura a un fenómeno de actualidad que se intensificará a medida que se jubile la generación del baby boom, la esperanza de vida siga aumentando y las tasas de fertilidad permanezcan en mínimos históricos.
