Waar is onze ondernemingsdynamiek gebleven?

Abstract

Ondernemingsdynamiek is een belangrijke drijfveer voor een stijgende productiviteit. De Belgische ondernemingsdynamiek is echter in dalende lijn. Dit is niet zo zeer te wijten aan het veel gehoorde pleidooi rond het gebrek aan starters en ondernemingszin. We zien echter wel dat het moeilijker en moeilijker wordt voor kleinere firma’s om door te stoten en een snelle groeier te worden. Bovendien vertoont de evolutie van onze ondernemingsdynamiek opmerkelijk veel gelijkenissen met die in de Verenigde Staten, ondanks dat onze economieën toch sterk verschillen. De oorzaken (en oplossingen) van de dalende ondernemingsdynamiek moeten we dan ook zoeken in globale trends en niet in land- specifieke regelgeving en bedrijfstaxatie.
