Environmental Toxicology: The Legacy of Silent Spring

Abstract

The authors draws the reader’s attention to the twin toxic hazards that is radiation and chemicals linger , the author effectively fused the pre-existent pollution concerns of urban and industrial reformers to the ecological sensitivities of resource conservation and wilderness preservation. This forceful vision helped to establish the modern environmental movement. Forty years after the publication of Silent Spring, the Wellcome Trust Centre’s Witness Seminar convened to assess the legacy of this book in relation to environmental toxicology.[WELLCOME TRUST CENTRE VOL- 19,2004]
