What is Gender Budgeting: An Illustration though the Analysis of two Health-related Schemes in Karnataka (ThayiBhagya and Vajpayee ArogyashreeYojna)

Abstract

Taking note of the limitations and challenges pertaining to gender budget exercise, the Government of Karnataka has set up a Task Force constituting of academics working in this area to review the practise, identify the gaps, provide examples of analyses to show the alternative ways of analysing information and furnish recommendations for reform. Each member took the responsibility of analysing two schemes with support of their respective organisations. [CBPS Working Paper].
