La dinámica de especialización sectorial de las exportaciones de las provincias españolas: ¿Qué papel ha jugado la gran empresa exportadora española?

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza los cambios en la estructura de ventajas y desventajas comparativas de las exportaciones de las provincias españolas entre 1988 y 2017 y, si la presencia de grandes empresas exportadoras en 1988 ayuda a explicar los cambios observados en el patrón de especialización de España. Encontramos un comportamiento dual entre las provincias exportadoras: la mitad tiene una baja persistencia y su especialización ha aumentado; la otra mitad tiene una persistencia alta y su especialización ha disminuido. Además, no existe correlación entre la concentración de la actividad exportadora en unas pocas empresas y el grado de persistencia observado en el patrón de especialización de España.
