Análisis de viabilidad legal, sostenibilidad financiera y operativa de una institución público-privada rectora de los seguros agropecuarios en Guatemala

Abstract

El presente documento analiza cuatro alternativas institucionales para el desarrollo y fortalecimiento de los seguros agropecuarios en Guatemala: a) empresa de seguros de capital mixto especializada en seguros agropecuarios; b) empresa de seguros del Estado especializada en seguros agropecuarios; c) empresa intermediaria de reaseguro propiedad del Estado; y d) empresa de reaseguro del Estado. Desde la óptica de la gestión integral de riesgos y utilizando un análisis exhaustivo de fortalezas, oportunidades, debilidades y amenazas (FODAS), se determinó la conveniencia técnica de profundizar en el análisis de una empresa del Estado especializada en los seguros agropecuarios y de otra del Estado especializada en los reaseguros
