Abstract

Cette conférence-débats a été organisée conjointement par la Coordination Nationale de la Sécurité Alimentaire (CNSA), qui est une institution étatique intersectorielle autonome placée sous la tutelle du Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Ressources Naturelles et du Développement Rural (MARNDR), et la Commission Economique pour l'Amérique Latine et les Caraïbes (CEPALC) , sous le thème de l'évaluation de la situation alimentaire actuelle en Haïti. Elle a réuni, les jeudi 12 et vendredi 13 mai 2005, à L'hôtel Montana, des dirigeants et cadres techniques d'institutions nationales et internationales intervenant directement ou indirectement sur la question de la sécurité alimentaire en Haïti dans le but de partager les informations générées ou collectées sur la question au cours des années 2002-2005. Du coté de la CNSA, cette évaluation fait suite à celle effectuée en 2001 (réf. Haïti: Insécurité alimentaire 2001-2002) tandis que pour la CEPALC, cette initiative se réalise dans le cadre du projet « Stratégies non conventionnelles pour le développement économique en Haïti » financé par la Fondation W.K. Kellogg.
