Istmo Centroamericano: evolución económica durante 2004 y perspectivas para 2005

Abstract

Rasgos generales de la evolución económica En un entorno internacional caracterizado por la evolución de diversos factores, el Istmo Centroamericano registró en 2004 un crecimiento económico ligeramente superior (3,8%) al del año anterior (3,6%). De esta manera, por segundo año consecutivo el producto por habitante se elevó (1,4%), revirtiendo así dos años de retrocesos. Se estima que en 2005 no se modificarán mayormente las tendencias externas e internas, por lo que la región podría alcanzar un ritmo de crecimiento alrededor de 3,5%.
