Estructura social y practica de la anticoncepcion

Abstract

El analisis del peso de las variables definitorias del contexto socioeconomico o estructural en la determinacion de la adopcion de la anticoncepcion en zonas rurales de America Latina (PECFAL-Rural) indica que, de acuerdo con las hipotesis postuladas: el conocimiento y uso de metodos dependen de la ubicacion de las entrevistadas en variables como nivel de desarrollo del pais (PAIS), nivel de desarrollo de la unidad territorial (DUT) y de su nivel socioeconomico individual (NES). Cuando el conocimiento de metodos se halla difundido o incorporado a la cultura global, la posicion del individuo es menos importante que cuando esta compartamentalizado, es decir, cuando solo pertenece a la cultura de algunos grupos. Alcanzando el conocimiento, el uso depende menos de la situacion estructural y se mediatiza a traves de factores como accesibilidad, necesidad de los metodos, factores culturales y otros.
