Abstract

En forma breve, se discuten las principales hipotesis y algunos hallazgos empiricos, basados en el PECFAL-Rural, en torno a la motivacion hacia el numero de hijos con enfasis en: la ambivalencia de actitudes en la preferencia por familias pequenas, la validez de las medidas sobre preferencias del tamano de la familia y los efectos de la mortalidad infantil sobre la fecundidad.
