Estadísticas de transporte de Bolivia, Brasil y Chile

Abstract

RESUMEN Con el propósito de realizar una evaluación del estado actual de las estadísticas de transporte de tres países de la región (Bolivia, Brasil y Chile); en cuanto a la comparabilidad de los datos, se llevó a cabo el estudio, que constituye el tema del presente informe. Como modelo de estadísticas de transporte regionales, se tomó el formato de las tablas publicadas en el documento Principales estadísticas del transporte de América del Norte de diciembre de 1999, publicado por el U.S. Department of Transportation - Bureau of Transportation Statistics. A partir de las tablas de este documento se hizo lo posible para construir tablas de idéntico formato para los tres países en estudio, considerando solamente datos publicados por cada uno de los países. Con los resultados de esta etapa, se analizó la producción de datos de transporte de cada país y el grado de comparabilidad entre ellos. Como conclusión, se propone un plan de acción para avanzar en la generación de estadísticas de transporte regionales, durante el próximo bienio.
