Abstract

Estudia la descentralización, desconcentración y regionalización como temas recurrentes en el discurso de los políticos y en las propuestas planificadoras de muchos países de la región desde la década de los sesenta, y analiza consideraciones que debería tomar en cuenta una nueva estrategia del desarrollo: modernización del aparato productivo, adecuación de la infraestructura social, lograr una creciente integración económica regional, implementación de sistemas más fluidos de transferencia de tecnologías, etc.
