Abstract

Examina la importancia del sector agrícola para la economía de los países de América Latina y el Caribe; analiza el papel que cumple el comercio exterior en la producción agropecuaria regional; traza un panorama de la experiencia adquirida en las negociaciones internacionales en materia agrícola, y de las expectativas que los países latinoamericanos pueden tener del resultado de la Ronda Uruguay que tiene lugar en el marco del GATT.
