Causas de muerte en Guatemala, 1960-1979

Abstract

Analiza la mortalidad por causas de defunción en Guatemala, identificando los grupos de causas de mayor incidencia en la mortalidad general y su evolución; el comportamiento de la mortalidad por grupos de causas según sexo y edad; la contribución de los grupos de causas de defunción según sexo y grupos quinquenales de edad, en el mejoramiento de la esperanza de vida al nacer entre 1969-1970 y 1978-1979; el efecto que produciría en la esperanza de vida, la eliminación eventual de algunas causas de fallecimiento.
