Integracion de la mujer en el desarrollo: marcos conceptuales y lineamientos para politicas

Abstract

En la formulacion de politicas para la integracion de la mujer al desarrollo se debe considerar una variedad de problemas derivados de las dificultades del proceso de planificacion, asi como de la forma en que se plantea la situacion de la mujer. Con el objeto de traspasar el ambito de CEPAL se describen tres enfoques generales sobre la condicion femenina: el del centro de Asia y el Pacifico sobre la mujer y el desarrollo; el del Instituto de Investigaciones de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo Social (UNRISD) y el del Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo. De la revision de estos enfoques surgen como temas centrales en la elaboracion de un marco adecuado para el diagnostico y la accion en torno a la mujer: la definicion precisa del tipo de entidad social que configuran las mujeres, la vinculacion entre las unidades domesticas como lugar en donde se realiza la actividad predominante de las mujeres y la estructura socioeconomica global, los estereotipos sexuales y las pautas culturales.
