Abstract

En base a los datos de OMUECE se analiza la evolucion intercensal de la poblacion economicamente activa de Republica Dominicana entre 1960-1970. Previa la discusion de las caracteristicas y limitaciones de la informacion censal se describe: a).la evolucion global de la poblacion activa por sexo y lugar de residencia, la duracion de la vida activa y las tasas de participacion por sexo y edad; b).las caracteristicas economicas de la poblacion activa por rama de actividad, categoria ocupacional y ocupacion. Finalmente, se incluyen diversas proposiciones para mejorar la calidad de la informacion y un anexo que detalla la informacion estadistica analizada
