Fecundidad de las mujeres que ingresan a los programas y fecundidad de las mujeres en la poblacion total

Abstract

El analisis comparativo de la fecundidad de las mujeres que ingresan a los programas y de las mujeres en la poblacion total, revela que en 2 de los 6 paises estudiados las tasas de las primeras son mas altas. En todos los paises se observa que la fecundidad de las aceptantes es mas temprana, lo que indicaria que las mujeres de temprana iniciacion en la vida conyugal controlan su fecundidad. Por otro lado, las mujeres que ingresan a los programas despues de los 25 anos presentan una fecundidad mas baja que la de la poblacion total; ello podria deberse al uso de anticonceptivos previo al ingreso a los programas o a un espaciamiento de los hijos en mujeres que iniciaron su vida sexual mas tardiamente.
