Abstract

El documento reune seis trabajos que cubren los siguientes aspectos: a) el proceso de urbanizacion y el desarrollo; b) algunas caracteristicas estructurales de la urbanizacion en America Latina; c) aspectos espaciales y demograficos del crecimiento urbano y de la concentracion de la poblacion; d) el crecimiento urbano y el deterioro del medio; e) la dispersion de la poblacion rural en America Latina; f) las politicas publicas en cuanto a modalidades de asentamientos.
