Estado actual de la planificación en América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

Da cuenta de lo que ha sido la practica de la planificacion durante los anos setenta en America Latina y el Caribe. Analiza la experiencia en la formulacion de planes y senala sus principales contenidos y las tecnicas utilizadas. Evalua algunos instrumentos de politica economica en cuanto a su capacidad para aplicar las estrategias de los planes de desarrollo. Expone la forma en que se han incorporado en la planificacion ciertas areas tematicas de creciente interes para el desarrollo, tales como el medio ambiente, la ciencia y la tecnologia y las empresas publicas. Analiza las posibilidades que tiene la planificacion de contribuir a las tareas nacionales del desarrollo.
