América Latina: tablas de mortalidad, 1950-2025 = Latin America: life tables, 1950-2025

Abstract

El presente Boletín tiene como objetivo publicar las tablas de mortalidad implícitas en las proyecciones de población por sexo y edad, de los 20 países de América Latina; consecuentemente, corresponde a una actualización del Boletín Demográfico No 44 de Julio de 1989. Las tablas de mortalidad incluidas en este Boletín, cubren desde el año 1950 al 2025 y dentro de éste pueden diferenciarse dos períodos: por una parte, el comprendido entre 1950 y 1990, que corresponde a estimaciones a partir de fuentes disponibles y, por otra parte, el que va desde 1990 hasta 2025, que corresponde a proyecciones de la mortalidad. El CELADE dispone, además, de proyecciones de población y consecuentemente, de tablas de mortalidad para el período 2025-2050.
