Abstract

Este documento fue preparado por Alberto Bonadona Cossío, consultor de la Unidad Mujer y Desarrollo de la CEPAL, en el marco del proyecto Impacto de género de la reforma de pensiones en América Latina", con el apoyo financiero del Gobierno del Reino de los Países Bajos. Después de exponer algunas características de la sociedad boliviana y los antecedentes de los sistemas de pensiones, se aplican en el estudio cinco criterios para comparar el funcionamiento del Sistema de Reparto de Beneficio Definido (SRBD) y el Sistema de Capitalización Individual de Contribución Definida (SCICD). Poniendo especial énfasis en sus respectivos tratamientos del componente de género, se introduce luego un sexto criterio, relacionado con las desigualdades del mercado de trabajo y los efectos de la mayor discontinuidad laboral femenina para analizar la creciente informalidad que afecta progresivamente a las mujeres bolivianas."
