Abstract

Resumen Este documento contiene el material docente empleado por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) y el Instituto Latinoamericano de Planificación Económica y Social (ILPES) en el marco del programa de Capacitación para los países C y D (1). El propósito de este programa es contribuir al desarrollo de una capacidad nacional permanente de entrenamiento a funcionarios de las instituciones responsables de la gestión de programas y proyectos. Ello, mediante la capacitación de una masa crítica de funcionarios públicos, así como de instructores en los 19 países prestatarios de los dos grupos referidos. En consecuencia, el objetivo central de esta actividad es fortalecer la capacidad institucional y humana para la gestión de los proyectos de inversión, con el fin de que éstos sean ejecutados con niveles satisfactorios de eficacia y eficiencia. (1) Categoría definida por el BID para países beneficiarios con las economías más pequeñas: Bahamas, Barbados, Belice, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, República Dominicana, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haití, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Trinidad y Tobago, Suriname, Uruguay.
